I am writing this from mid-air late Thursday evening on a flight to the beautiful state of North Carolina. You probably won’t see this posted until sometime Friday, so I apologize if at this point you are tired of reading *thankful* posts.
(I guess this post is more for myself in that sense.)
This image basically reflects how I’ve been feeling lately. I try to always surround myself by positive people, but every now and then we all face people who try to discourage us. My strategy has always been to accept negative comments as a challenge to show them, it can be done.
I am looking at under two weeks till half marathon day! That means one week of running, then taper, then it’s go time! I’m so excited, and of course a little nervous.
Hope everyone’s having a great start to their week! Happy November!!
Comment below: What do you do when faced with negativity?
Happy hump day! :)
I received an interesting question/thought for my blog last night that I would like to openly discuss with all of you. Let’s talk for a moment about how peer pressure plays into healthy living.
I was asked how to stay focused on goals of leading a healthy lifestyle when there are so many distractors in this world?
Happy Monday!! This Saturday I joined a few friends in a P90x tybo sesh. Talk about a tough workout to switch things up! I definitely needed something new to really tire my muscles out and this was just the thing. After our workout we all got to talking about what motivates us to get/stay healthy. And for me, it is definitely in line with the above quote – I am healthy because I feel I owe it to myself.
On that note, have a great week!
Comment below, what’s motivating you lately?!
Pretty much my life lately – running is the most relaxing part of my day.
Hope everyone had a great weekend! Check out this beautifulness I got to dive into to celebrate Steven’s birthday:
Have a great start to your week!! and remember, if you’re feeling stressed, try getting more exercise to RELAX!
My weekend has been super relaxing and rejuvenating as I usually try to make it! But its been a little different in at least one way: Steven went to New York to visit family this weekend and unfortunately, I was unable to join him. I missed having him around of course, but the positive side of this is that I had plenty of quiet time to myself this weekend and I soaked up every minute of it! Continue reading
Happy Monday my loves!
I hope everyone had a beautiful, relaxing weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed my weekend because I got to visit with my little brother who came home visiting from Savannah, GA. He moved about a month ago, and I have been missing him like crazy. It is so weird having a sibling in another state. But this weekend we spent some time together and I think we both loved every minute of it. My mom was pretty much in heaven to have us both over for dinner!!
So now, how about some motivation to get this week started? Lately I have been quite reflective about the people in my life that I love and what I love about them. I am finding how important it is to listen to people talk about their passions, it really lets you get to know them better and develop deeper relationships. That’s why my motivation for this week is the following quote:
This motivates me on so many different levels. For one, it encourages me to be authentic in my own passions and to not be afraid to talk about them. But it also motivates me to be a better sister, friend, girlfriend, daughter, coworker, every role I play. Essentially, this quote sparks in me a reminder that its a good thing to ask people about their lives and truely listen – you never know where that could lead to!
And I will leave you with that thought. Hope everyone has a great week!!
